1. Creating Your Hosting Account

After placing an order on our website, your hosting account is automatically created once payment is confirmed.

You will receive a welcome email containing:

  • Your cPanel login details

  • Nameservers for domain connection

  • Useful links to manage your service

If you do not receive this email within a few minutes, please check your spam folder or contact support.


2. Accessing cPanel

cPanel is your main control panel for managing your website.

To log in:

  1. Visit your Client Area

  2. Click on Services

  3. Select your active hosting service

  4. Click Login to cPanel

From cPanel, you can:

  • Upload website files

  • Create email accounts

  • Manage databases

  • Install applications like WordPress

  • Configure domains and subdomains


3. Uploading Your Website Files

You can upload your website using File Manager or FTP.

Using File Manager:

  1. Open cPanel

Your main website file should be named index.html or index.php.


4. Connecting Your Domain

If you registered your domain with HostHike, it will connect automatically.

If your domain is registered elsewhere:

  1. Update your domain nameservers to the ones provided in your welcome email

  2. Save the changes with your domain registrar

  3. Allow up to 24 hours for DNS propagation

Once propagation is complete, your website will be accessible online.


5. Email Accounts Setup

You can create professional email addresses using your domain.

Steps:

  1. Login to cPanel

  2. Click Email Accounts

  3. Click Create

  4. Choose a username and password

You can access email via:

  • Webmail

  • Mobile devices

  • Desktop email clients (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.)


6. SSL Certificate (Website Security)

All HostHike hosting plans include a free SSL certificate.

SSL helps:

  • Secure your website data

  • Improve trust with visitors

  • Enable HTTPS

SSL is installed automatically. If your site still shows “Not Secure,” contact support for assistance.


7. Billing & Invoices

All billing is managed from your Client Area.

You can:

  • View invoices

  • Make payments

  • Upgrade or downgrade services

  • Renew domains and hosting

Please ensure invoices are paid before the due date to avoid service interruption.


8. Backups & Data Safety

While we maintain server-level backups, customers are encouraged to:

  • Keep their own backups

  • Regularly download important files and databases

This ensures maximum data protection.


9. Fair Usage & Acceptable Use

To maintain service quality for all customers:

  • Hosting accounts must not be used for illegal or fraudulent activities

  • Spam, malware, phishing, or abusive content is strictly prohibited

  • Resource abuse may lead to suspension
