Backing up your website is one of the most important responsibilities of every website owner. While HostHike performs server-level backups for disaster recovery, individual website and database backups are the responsibility of the customer.

This guide explains how to properly back up your website, emails, and databases using cPanel and why it is important.

Why Backups Are Important

Backups protect your website against:

•Accidental file deletion

•Website errors or misconfiguration

•Malware or hacking attempts

•Failed updates or script changes

•Data corruption

Without a backup, lost data cannot be recovered.

Important Backup Policy Notice

HostHike provides server-level backups for emergency recovery only.

We do not restore individual cPanel accounts, files, or databases on request.

Customers are responsible for maintaining their own backups.
